Who’s on Top in Tech-Readiness?
The sentence below is very interesting to me…..
The Middle East isn’t known as a hotbed of technological achievement. But in the seventh annual Global Information Technology Report released on Apr. 9 by the Geneva-based World Economic Forum (WEF) and French management school INSEAD, the region demonstrated the most improvement in its tech-readiness and expertise of any in the world.
Some things we discussed in class on 4-21 April 23, 2008
We discussed the differences between analog and digital data and devices. We discussed linear circuits and what linear was, also the ASCII (American standard code for information interchange) code. A digital signal has 2 levels. The 3 basic blocks within a computer are Microprocessor, Memory, and Input/Output Interface And the functions of converters.
Terms
- ASCII Stands for -American standard code for information interchange
- A Digital signal has two levels.
- CPU stands for central processing unit.
- OHM-is the electric resistance between two points of a conductor
- Multimeter is a device that is able to measure voltages, current and capacitors.
- Analog Circuit is also called a linear circuits, since linear by definition is a variation of an output in direct proportion to the inputs.
- Digitize means to convert an analog signal into a digital signal.
- IC Stands for Integrated Circuit.
- Basic types of signals are analog and digital.
Missing Class April 17, 2008
I have missed class the past 2 weeks because of my son’s illness. I would like to thank my teacher and my fellow classmates for helping me still be involved with the wiki site that we have developed. So if definitions is want you want, then that’s what you’ll get.

Spring Break April 8, 2008
Last week was Spring Break. My potty training started on Wednesday. So far, things are going well. We have only had a few accidents. He was very excited about his potty progress chart, that he got to put stickers on every time he went potty.
